ABOUT ME
The Full Story
Welcome to The Harte Herald! My name is Shanae Harte, and I was born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana. I have always had a passion for writing and public speaking, and I decided to make a career based on my passion.
I migrated to the U.S. in 2017 and started studying Journalism at CUNY York College and minored in Psychology and Speech Communication. While in college, I served as a Staff Reporter and Managing Editor of Pandora's Box, the college's newspaper. I also had the pleasure of producing a radio show through the college's radio station, YC Radio, and interned at CUNY TV in my final year of college.

Since graduating as a Magna Cum Laude student, I have worked as a freelance writer for ScreenRant, an entertainment publication, and I served as a writer in the NABJ's (National Association of Black Journalists) 2022 Student Multimedia Projects.

Now, I am a student at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism where I am further exploring my passion and all the opportunities it'll bring me. The Harte Herald will be a place for me to publish any work I produce.

So, come along with me on this journey. Enjoy!
